Cart Media AS was established in Norway in 1996 with the intention to offer media services to the Norwegian grocery market.
Today, Cart Media has cooperation with Norway’s leading grocery chains and has one of the largest national media channels reaching over 90% of the total Norwegian population. Cart Media AS consists of nearly 180 employees, 8 in the administration and 170 field workers evenly distributed across the nation.
Cart Media’s main source of income is the media channel “CartHandle™”. CartHandle™ is attached to shopping cart handles and has an advertising surface, where the advertiser communicates to the potential customers at point of sale. Today, CartHandle™ is found in 60% of all the grocery stores in Norway.
In order to measure CartHandle™ advertising campaigns, Cart Media AS has partners with the main research companies in Scandinavia. (TNS Gallup, Synovate MMI and AC Nielsen.) Following each CartHandle™ campaign, AC Nielsen reports are collected for analysis of the actual sales. No other advertising channel that Cart Media AS is aware of is able to track the actual sales resulted from a specific ad campaign.
